John Sprague

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Sprague reports to Thread Research chief executive officer John Reites and is responsible for all financial strategy and operations.

Mr. Sprague is a highly accomplished financial executive with extensive financial and operating experience including demonstrated success and leadership in building software and life science companies during high-growth periods including efficiently scaling commercial operations, M&A, and financings.

John was most recently the chief financial officer for 7 years at T2 Biosystems, Inc, a publicly traded international life sciences company.John’s notable prior experience includes CFO roles at Caliber Imaging & Diagnostics, GE Healthcare’s North American Core Imaging pharmaceutical business and Xcellerex , Inc. (acquired by GE healthcare).John also served as Corporate Controller of RSA Security during its high growth phase prior to being acquired by Dell. John gained his initial experience at Deloitte’s technology audit practice where he rose to Senior Manager over a 12-year period.

John is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
