Case Study |
Decentralizing Critical Endpoints for Global Remote Capture of Digital Health and eCOA

Challenge
Primary and secondary protocol endpoint requires walk test and spirometry
- As participants were unable to attend site visits, sponsor wished the use of mobile spirometry, allowing lung capacity and function measurements to be taken from the participants’ homes
- They needed a solution that would produce accurate lung data while not introducing unnecessary complexities for participants
Solution
To enable endpoints that can be collected in the clinic and at the participants' home with a remote research study design, THREAD offered:
- improved recruitment as the overall study experience enabled remote digital health and eCOA collection
- a simplified user experience for the patient and site to capture critical endpoints in the clinic and/or home
- analytics dashboard to provide rapid detection of lung function changes for quicker decisions
- video patient training automated before each assessment to increase quality at every measurement
